Our Galaxy’s Centre Smells Like Rum and Tastes Like Raspberries: Minerva Ayón, David Bellemare
After a long forced break, we are proud to present a two-person exhibition, a collaboration between Mexican artist Minerva Ayon and Montreal-based painter David Bellemare.
Through large-scale textile and reclaimed leather pieces, Minerva Ayon opens up a conversation about desire, rituals and stillness. The scale of her pieces enters a visual back-and-forth with David Bellemare's mural-sized collage paintings in which he emulates an old-school (90's) sticker sheet.
